WITH ONLY 6 WEEKS TILL THIS SEASONS FIRST FOAL I AM BUSY GETTING THINGS READY.

RONVALE IS ALSO EXPECTING A HUMAN BABY DUE EARLY NEXT YEAR WITH MY DAUGHTER BECKY AND HER MAN ROB HAVING THIER FIRST.ALL THE BEST TO THEM!!

SAARINNA IS LOOKING FANTASTIC.GETTING A BIT GRUMPY AT FEED TIME NOW AS THE TIME GETS CLOSER FOR HER FIRST FOAL. RONVALE IS A BUZZ..MY OTHER MARES ARE ALSO WELL BUT HAVE A LITTLE LONGER TO WAIT !!

WITH SO MUCH MUD AROUND IT IS VERY HARD TO KEEP PADDOCKS IN GOOD NIK ,AND ALSO A BIT WET TO KEEP THE HACKS IN WORK.WE ARE MANAGING TO WORK THE BOYS ENOUGH SO THAT THEY DONT GET LAZY.

STILL RAINING AND EVEN MUDDIER.WAS GOING TO GO TO THE PRE ROYAL AT CLYDE THIS WEEKEND BUT NOT REALY KEEN, AS TOO WET.MIGHT JUST GO FOR A LOOK SEE.

MAYBE BERWICK OPEN SHOW IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS, IF IT STOPS RAINING BY THEN!!

WOW .... IT HASNT RAINED FOR A DAY ......YA......CANT BELIEVE IT......ALL MY PADOCKS ARE STARTING TO DRY OUT,

SAARINNA IS COMING ALONG NICELY STARTING TO BAG UP....SOOO EXCITING ....SHE LOOKS AWSOME I CAN ONLY HOPE SHE WILL COPE WITH THE BIRTHING PROCESS..I THINK SHE WILL,... BUT WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE. ON THE HUMAN BABY PROGRESS BEC IS DOING GREAT SHE IS STARTING TO SHOW, HAS HAD HER FIRST SCAN ALL GOING GREAT,CANT WAIT !!!!

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT YOUNG SOPHIE.......WOW....WE WENT TO THE SHOW AT BERWICK ,SOPH TOOK ''RONVALE TAKE A BOW''....(RUBBIN)...WELL...SHE WON THE GALLOWAY CLASS...WON HER RIDER CLASS....THEN WENT ON TO ACHIEVE RESERVE RIDER...WHAT A DAY..RONVALE IS SOOOO PROUD OF HER..SHE IS SUCH A JOY TO TAKE OUT..WELL DONE SOPH.. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON..

P.S..NINNIE STILL GOING GREAT NOT LONG NOW!!!!

ronvale lodge welcomes "ronvale forrenna"!!!!

early this morning about 1:30 saarinna delivered a very cute chestnut filly (she will go grey like her mum). Beautiful long legs with a nice blaze and very very cute turned in little ears.

Saarinna is coping great, you would never know this is her first!! Both are a little tired but doing great. Little nena is bouncing arounding the stable, lying down for a quick snooze then back up again having another bounce around!nena at 1hour old

WELL , HERE WE ARE AT THE END OF ANOTHER MONTH , WOW , NEARLY XMAS !!

FORRENNA IS GOING GREAT , REAL FRIENDLY AND CURIOUS !! AND SAARINNA (MUM) IS GREAT ASWELL, ONE DOWN TWO TO GO , IN ABOUT 2 MONTHS RONVALES OTHER GIRLS ARE DUE !!

ABOUT THE HUMAN BABY !!

BECKY IS GETTING A BABY BUMP , WE HAVE AROUND 4 MONTHS TO WAIT FOR THAT ONE, BREEZING THROUGH SO FAR , VERY WELL AND ENJOYING BEING PREGNANT......

FORRENNA'S GOING GREAT. HAS HEADSTALL ON , CAN PICK UP HER FEET, AND SHE IS LEARNING HOW TO LEAD. SHE IS SO CLEVER AND FRIENDLY, MIGHT TAKE HER TO SOME FOAL SHOWS.

THE OTHER TWO , FANTA AND WINNIE , ARE STARTING TO BAG , BOTH ARE DUE IN ABOUT 5 WEEKS. I DO THINK THAT FANTA WILL FOAL EARLY , SHE IS HUGE!!!!!!

HAVE DECIDED TO SELL STORM AS THE OTHER OWNER WOULD PREFER SOMETHING TALLER AND I CANT KEEP HIM AT RONVALE , NOT ENOUGH ROOM.WILL RETAIN SOME SERVICES TO HIM IF HE IS SOLD LOCAL.

HUMAN BABY NEWS!! BECKY'S BABY BUMP IS GROWING NICELY , SHE IS EXTREMLY WELL AND VERY EXCITED , THE BABE IS DUE ON HER FATHERS BIRTHDAY WHICH IS COOL. WE HAVE AROUND 15 WEEKS TO WAIT....

both my girls still hav'nt foaled ,i did think that fanta was going to foal early but she is still going strong.man she is huuuuge.with only 11 days till they are due i am holding my breath waiting for them ,as me and bec are going to equitana when they are due(didnt think of that when i booked tickets)''good luck to john''who is on foal watch while i am away.!!!!as for bec ,she also is popping out.just hope that she will cope when we go, it will be a long day.countdown is 12 and a half weeks.

FANTA HAS FINALLY FOALED!!!

WE HAVE A LOVELY ARABIAN WARMBLOOD CHESTNUT COLT.....BORN AT 12.30 ON TUESDAY MORNING...BOTH DOING GREAT...FOAL HAS CONTRACTED FRONT LEGS AND IS DOWN ON HIS BUMPERS BUT IN TIME WILL BE FINE..

gosh have i been slack or what....well actually i have been real busy...winnie has foaled , a very cute bay filly...and we only have 6 weeks to wait for the human babe...xmas is only 7 days away and i really dont know where this year has gone.Shows coming up, young ones to work with, i think i might be busy for a while now.

Well here we are in another year !!

Still waiting for human bub's and the count down has begun...16 days till due date...

Storm has been busy with my girls , fanta and winnie..hope they will be in foal for two pally foals this year..Aprillia went to her first show at wonthaggi last weekend and what a good girl she was , second in the arabian ring , wow , how happy were we with her !!

Sophie was going to ride my hack ''William'' at the wonthaggi show on sunday , but unfortunatly came down with tonsilitis , never mind soph , there will be other shows and you are more than welcome to ride my boy !!

Ronvale has sold a few horses to make room for more projects , but are waiting for our new arrival to come (baby) before we get any new ones...we have also decided to keep a hack that was being worked up for sale but i really like him. When bec is up and about i will begin to wean , with saarinna's foal being the first.Might even put saarinna back under saddle for sophie to show.I hope that the next input that i do here will be news of human baby!!!! Thought i would put a photo of soph on bec's taj having a bit of fun.......

Well here we are still waiting for becky to have her bub and with all this heat the last couple of days i bet she is hoping for the birth aswell..

Because everything is on hold at the moment there no real news to share except the unfortunate retirement of brookes cola because of a chipped coffin bone (in his hoof) poor brooke , Ronvale is thinking of her ...

All the foals are growing like weeds and the warmblood/arabian colt is taking soo much out of Fanta i am feeding her and him heaps , there is no grass either..so my feed bill is huge...we have a couple of shows coming up that i would like to go to.

Poor sophies new horse has had a bad injury and will be out of action for some time so she will be able to take one of ronvale's horses if she wants.It seems at the moment there is a conspiracy against us horse people with alot of our equine friends hurting themselves...go figure..always seems to be around the show season to...hmm..do you think they plan it ?

IT IS WITH GREAT PRIDE THAT WE CAN ANNOUNCE THE ARRIVAL OF JOSHUA OLIVER BORN AT 1:12AM ON FRIDAY MORNING WEIGHING IN AT A MASIVE 10 POUND , BOTH MUM AND BUB DOING GREAT , WOW , THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER !!!!!

WOW , ITS BEEN QUITE AWHILE SINCE I HAVE ADDED TO THE DIARY.

I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY , WHAT WITH OUR NEW GRANDSON AND ALL OF THIS YEARS FOALS , I AM ALSO WORKING 4 DAYS AWEEK , HAVING GOT WORK AT 'NYORA EQUINE AND PRODUCE SUPPLIES',THERE IS A LINK ON THIS SITE , HAVE A LOOK .

ALL OF RONVALE FOALS ARE WEANED NOW AND ONLY AWAIT 'THE BRAND MAN' AND THEY CAN GO TO NEW HOMES.

YOUNG SOPHIE HAS STILL GOT INJURY PROBS WITH HER HORSE AND HAS ALSO GOT A NEW NEPHEW , SO SHE HAS BEEN BUSY TOO.

WHAT WITH THE DROUGHT THAT HAS BEEN UP HERE IT HAS BEEN SOOOOO DRY THAT GRASS HAS BEEN SCARCE AND FEEDING HAS BEEN EXPENSIVE. SO WE HAVE A FEW FOR SALE AT PRESENT TO CUT OUR NUMBERS DOWN A BIT.

BECKY WAS BACK IN THE SADDLE ONLY TWO WEEKS AFTER THE BIRTH OF HER SON , AND HAS ALREADY BEEN TOO TWO ARC RALLY'S. LOVING BEING A NEW MUM SHE IS ALSO ENJOYING BEING ABLE TO RIDE AGAIN.

I HAVE PLAN'S TO GO TO WINTER WOLLIES WITH WILLIAM AT TRAF IN JUNE AND A DRESSAGE CT DAY WITH DANNY IN MAY. LETS JUST SEE IF I GET THERE !!

WELL, ITS NEARLY HALF WAY THROUGH THE YEAR ALREADY ....

YOUNG APRIL HAS CUT HER LEG IN A SERIOUS MANNER AND THERE WILL BE MONTHS OF HEALING IN FRONT OF HER, SHE REALLY MADE A MESS OF HER LEG, THOUGH IT IS HEALING NICELY.

BEC AND I GOT TO TRAF FOR THE DRESSAGE , COMBINED TRAINING DAY AND WHAT A DAY WE HAD...BEC CAME 6TH WITH HER DRESSAGE , NOT TO SHABBY FOR HER FIRST TIME AND DID HER JUMPING ,WHICH WAS SCARY..TAJ JUMPED ALL JUMPS AT 100KPH AND REFUSED THE LAST JUMP BUT DID A TOP JOB, I TOOK DANNY AND HE WAS GOOD , JIJ JOGED A BIT WHEN HE WAS SUPOUSE TO BE WALKING BUT I WAS VERY PROUD OF THE OLD BOY.

THE WEEKEND AFTER NEXT IS TRAF WINTER WOLLIES AND I WAS GOING TO TAKE SAARINNA BUT I THINK SHE NEEDS HER TEETH DONE, AS SHE IS TOSSING HER HEAD A BIT WHEN I RIDE HER, SO I THINK I MIGHT TAKE DANNY OUT AGAIN, HE IS A GOOD BOY..

ALL THE FOALS ARE DOING GREAT , GROWING WELL AND WAITING FOR NEW HOMES.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO SOPHIE AND HER FAMILY AS THEY LOST A YOUNG FAMILY MEMBER IN A TRAGIC CAR ACCIDENT A FEW WEEKS AGO, OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU AT THIS TIME..

Well...its getting closer to show season with a pre royal on next weekend.. We are going to take Jaye to it , it will be her first show with us sponsoring her..hope the weather is better than it was today ..if it blew any harder my horses would have taken off...

William is coming along slowly with his education ..boy.. he is going to turn out great if he keeps learning the way he is.....

Sophie is going great guns with her new boy ..jumping really well...hopefully no injuries will stop her this year , i still hope to see her doing some shows , maybe she will take william out again this year..will have to wait and see....

Plan to go to the royal this September and watch a good friends daughter , Tilly, compete in a few classes...

Young Josh is growing and doing wonderful..6 months old now ..i dont know where the time goes...

Cant believe its only 5 weeks till xmas

Our girls are due to foal in 3 weeks...Storm babies....cant wait ...although my girls have had a hard winter with Winnie and Fanta both lossing lots of weight and only recently putting weight back on... only hope that the foals are born well...time will tell !!

The show season has started with Catani on this weekend.I am taking April and Bec is taking Taj...

With the rain falling as i write , the paddocks will grow and hopefully the rain will fill the tanks..i hope that the sudden heat isnt a sign of a scourcher this year..i'm not liking the heat..

William has been put back into work and is going great..

STILL NO FOALS , THE GIRLS ARE A MONTH OVER NOW, I AM STARTING TO WONDER IF MAYBE THEY SLIPPED AND WERE SERVED AT A LATER DATE, I DO HOW EVER BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE IN FOAL.....

WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT....

LITTLE JOSH IS TURNING ONE YEAR OLD SOON (6/2/10) WOW, HE IS NEARLY WALKING AND IS SUCH A HAPPY BOY..

THE SHOW SEASON IS WELL AND TRUELY UPON US, I TOOK WILLIAM TO BASS AG SHOW WHERE HE WON HIS LED AND GOT RESEVRE CHAMPION, SUCH A GOOD BOY....HE IS GOING SO WELL , I AM GETTING SO EXCITED.

STILL NO FOALS , SO I HAVE THE VET COMING OUT ON MONDAY TO CHECK THEM. IF WINNIE ISNT IN FOAL (JUST FAT) I WILL PUT HER BACK UNDER SADDLE AND FIND A TOP HOME FOR HER AS I WOULD LOVE TO ONLY HAVE ARABIAN MARES TO BREED TO STORM..

THE BABES ARE GROWING WELL AND FIN IS TALL AND LANKY, LOOKS LIKE HIS 'OCD' HAS SETTLED DOWN, WILL JUST HAVE TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT..NINNA IS STUNNING AND HASNT GONE THROUGH THE GROWING UGLYS AT ALL..SHE WILL BE A TOP SHOW GALLOWAY.

UPDATE ON MARES

MY GIRLS ARE EMPTY..LOOKS LIKES MOTHER NATURE HAS TAKEN CARE OF THINGS, I AM A BIT DISSAPOINTED BUT RELIEVED AT THE SAME TIME ,AS THEY HAVE HAD A BAD YEAR...SO NOW I CAN SELL WINNIE AND REST FANTA. FANTA WILL BE PUT WITH STORM AROUND SEPTEMBER FOR NEXT SEASON.

APRIL IS GOING EXTREMLY WELL WITH ALL HER LEARNING, SHE SEEMS TO BE ENJOYING IT, VERY SMART FILLY..

KORUMBURRA SHOW THIS WEEKEND AND WEATHER DOES SOUND FAVOURABLE, I AM JUDGING ON SATURDAY AND RIDING WILLIAM ON SUNDAY.

WOW....WHAT A TOP WEELENK BEC AND I HAD...

SATURDAY JUDGING WAS WONDERFUL WITH GOOD NUMBERS IN THE P/C RING, THE KIDS WHERE GREAT..

SUNDAY , BOTH THE HORSES WENT TERRIFIC,

BEC'S TAJ WAS IN THE ARAB RING AND WON HER LED AND GOT CHAMPION PUREBRED ARABIAN GELDING SECOND IN SHOW HUNTER AND 3RD IN BRIDLE PATH HACK...

WILLIAM AND I WENT IN THE HRCAV RING, WE GOT SECOND IN LED, THIRD IN RIDDEN MOUNT OVER 16HH , 1ST IN MOUNT MOST SUITABLE IN WHICH WE HAD TO POP OVER A JUMP, AND 3RD IN PLEASURE , THE CLASSES WERE RATHER LARGE ,HE WAS AWESOME...SUCH A GOOD BOY , BOTH HORSES WENT TERIFIC
